In order to upload a GPX file you have to first retrieve the tour planner. Then you click on the button “Import GPX Track” below the activity. Via “Browse” you can now choose the relevant file. After clicking on “Import” the file will then be uploaded. If the files are larger it can take some time until they are uploaded and displayed. Please be patient.
In the “Import settings” you can see the following:
- Metres in height: When importing the GPX file the metres in height contained will not be taken into account. Instead, the data will be recalced with the Outdooractive terrain model.
Correction of “outliers”: Additionally, outliers in the GPX track will be eliminated that result from inaccuracies of the GPX receiver. With regard to very accurate GPS devices this correction is not necessary and can even lead to errors. Here you can choose if “eliminate outlier in the GPX track” should be performed or not.
You can only upload one GPX file for one tour at once. If you want to join together more GPX files or create one route out of many files, then please use this external program.
