How does the manual digitizing work (routing without trail network) – “Free routing”?

In case the trail network is not providing you with the right route or you want to plan a canoe tour for example, then you have the possibility to manually trace the tour course via a free entry. Next to “trail network” in the menu item geometry you can change the setting to “free entry” and place all the points on the map that you would like to use for the planning. Remember, when manually tracing the tour course beelines will be placed in between the points. The tour course is all the more precise the narrower the individual points lie together.

Good to know: uploaded GPX files will be displayed as entirely drawn freehand by our system.

In case the trail network routing generates only a tour course between specific waypoints and not on the desired trail, then you can also perform a plan for this section without the network. Right click on the point from where you want to route the path without a trail network and choose “from this point without trail network”.
