What is a "Point"?

Follow

You can mark your favorite places on the map as points and then name, describe, categorize and add and pictures to them. Click on your name in the top right followed by "Points" in "My content" to call up all the points you have created.

There are two ways to create a point.

First option:

  1. Choose the place on the map you want to mark.
  2. Information appears, such as the geodata of the point, here you select "Create point".
  3. A window will then open in which you can assign a category (and in doing so a symbol) to your point and add a title, description and media. Your media gallery will open when selected. You can choose between a previously uploaded picture/video or add a new picture/video.
  4. Select "Save" to finish creating your point.
  5. The point will now be shown on the map with its accompanying symbol

Second option:

  1. Click on the add layer (the button bottom right with three dots), which sits above the map layer.
  2. After you have selected "Create point", a pin appears on the map with which you can select your point by moving the map. Select "Create point" when the pin is in the correct position.
  3. A window will then open in which you can assign a category (and in doing so a symbol) to your point and add a title, description and media. Your media gallery will open when selected. You can choose between a previously uploaded picture/video or add a new picture/video.
  4. Select "Save" to finish creating your point.
  5. The point will now be shown on the map with its accompanying symbol.

Your points are only visible to you and whilst they cannot be published, you can share them with friends

In contrast to waypoints, a point is not linked to a route and can be set independently
